Using specialized ultrasound technology, this non-invasive procedure produces a 2-D sonogram of the four chambers and valves of the heart.  This procedure detects problems with any of the heart valves and also measures how well the heart pumps blood throughout the body.

NYCC’s Echocardio Lab and technicians meet a high level of excellence, earning accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL) as well as the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).
