Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist

Dr. Sanjeev Palta is a board certified interventional cardiologist with over 20 years of experience treating patients both in the hospital setting and at his outpatient offices. He trained at Cornell-Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and the State University Hospital of Brooklyn, two leading cardiovascular treatment centers. Dr. Palta currently is an Attending Cardiologist at New York-Presbyterian Methodist Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, and Brooklyn Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center.  In addition to being board certified in interventional cardiology, he is credentialed in nuclear stress testing and echocardiography. Throughout his practice, Dr. Palta has been at the forefront of his field.  His research has appeared in the Journal of the National Medical Association, the Journal of Heart Valve Disease, and Circulation as well as other respected medical journals.  He has been awarded certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  This certification is granted in recognition of doctors with outstanding records of patient care, medical knowledge, and skills.

Having performed over 2000 invasive cardiac procedures including coronary angiograms, balloon angioplasties, and cardiac stenting, Dr. Palta’s patients know they are in trusted hands. Whether it is staying late at the office to fit in unscheduled patients or performing emergency procedures on his off time, Dr. Palta always goes the extra mile to ensure his patients receive the care they need.  In 2007 Dr. Palta was recognized by the Consumer’s Research Council of America as one of the “Best Cardiologists” in the U.S.
